Background and Philosophy
“Growing up in a military family, structure was a large part of my day-to-day lifestyle. From the moment we woke up until chores were done and we were in bed, everything had a place and it’s purpose. I believe the best businesses have a similar foundation. They need a clear, documented vision and basic processes to support that vision. On the other side of that, you have the people aspect, making friends and meeting new people, learning and adapting to different cultures and surroundings also teaches you the importance of flexibility and agility. We must never be so rigid as to assume we know more than the person sitting across from us. I do my best to maintain an open mind and am always prepared to listen. More often than my ego would like to admit, I learn a lot more when I refrain from speaking.” When Troy isn’t working, he spends time on the family farm in Wisconsin with his wife, two kids and their dogs.
Why Are You Here?
Cary is one of the most driven people I have had the privilege of knowing. When he tells you about an idea he has and wants to bounce things off you for an hour or six, you can hear the excitement in his voice. There isn’t a single thing he does half way and I am naturally drawn to that visionary mentality. So when he reached out to me it only made sense. Most leaders of an organization tend to do a tremendous job with defining what the puzzle looks like when it’s completed. My role in this is similar to the role I play in my business, setting up the path and shaping the (metaphorical) pieces. Finally, identifying, molding and placing them in their unique space. To me it is a natural fit. We work very well together. I am grateful to be here and look forward to learning from this tremendous group of professionals and working with our clients.
